PROFILE:
The MDPPA was established in 1973 with basic guidelines ad accepted by the Board of Investments. Four major qualified companies are Honda Philippines, Inc., Kawasaki Motors (Phils.), Corp., Norkis Trading Co., Inc. and Suzuki Philippines, Inc. The association is known as the Philippine Motorcycle Manufacturing Program (PMMP). In 1987 new guidelines were finalized and program name was likewise changed to Motorcycle Development Program (MDP). Two additional members under the category B, for three (3) wheelers are also accepted. A new name of the association was given, known as Motorcycle Development Program Participants Association, Inc. (MDPPA) in 1989 up to the present and with a total number of six (6) members, including Eastworld Motorcycle Industries, Corp. and MCX Motor Phils., Inc..
